Michele Jackman MSW, MA is an author ( Star Teams: Key Players, Holt, 1991) organizational consultant, and professional motivational speaker who has worked with many California non-profits. She presents at various national conferences on topics related to Non-Governmental organizational performance, and accountability. Her specialty areas are organizational development, conflict resolution, strategic planning, community fund development, and staff talent development. She is also a Change Manager consultant for Organizational/HR Software implementations across in California for cities counties, and various state agencies. She has consulted for the State Resource Agency, and taught volunteer management, and strategic partnership at the State Parks Academy for over 20 years.

She provides practical and creative strategies for dealing with difficult situations, pressures, and challenges using appropriate humor and is known for her dynamic approach. She focuses on cultural improvements to meet the challenges ahead, and focuses on the creation of great collaborations that enhance image and impact in communities.

Originally, a Medical Psychiatric Social Worker, she has advanced degrees in Political Science, Human Relations Management, and Organizational Development, and received a number of awards in her various positions. She has taught for Organizational Psychology for UCSB, Antioch University, and teaches various courses of UCSC Extension, and UC Davis in Leadership, performance management, and` communication. She is a highly requested Keynote speaker for many conferences and planning sessions across the country.

For her own work in the US Government, she received a series of awards, and the highest award from the Department of Defense for distinguished leadership and service in Europe, and in DC.

She has been a non-profit consultant, facilitator for over 30 years and lives in Santa Barbara, California
