    In addition to interactive conference presentations and motivational keynotes, she also provides facilitation for senior management retreats, consults on team design, and provides team “tune-ups” for every type of organization.

    PUBLICATIONS

    Michele was the co-author of Star Teams, Key Players published in 1991, which was a Fortune Book Club, and Book of the Month Club selection. Mrs. Jackman is also known internationally for her “Workplace Inspirational Humor Policies” which have been published widely, including in the New York Times. She is a frequent contributor to the UCSC project management blog site, and has contributed to the IEEE journal. Mrs. Jackman has authored a number of taped presentations from conferences and published training materials from courses developed. She has future books soon to be published, including Vegetarian Meetings: Meet Less, Get More Done, and Highway to Whoopee! (the High5 Solution).(Return to top)

     

    TEACHING

    Michele Jackman teaches Business, Engineering Management, and Personal Development courses for certificate programs in the Silicon Valley that serve Government entities as well as corporations. She taught Organizational Psychology at UCSB for three years on campus and was nominated for "Instructor of the Year in 1984". In 1992, she was selected “Business Personality of the Year” by the Business Journal acknowledging her contribution to management education and business development. She currently teaches a number of courses at various UC Extensions on Leadership, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Talent Development and currently focuses on "Multi-Generational challenges".     Her clients consistently describe her as an "inspirational coach" for those facing serious life challenges and coping with stress. For over 35 years, Michele Jackman has been practicing, teaching, and advocating dynamic leadership and "team based" management practices which result in increased quality, financial performance, and high morale.     GOVERNMENTAL EXPERIENCE


    She is “an Experienced Executive And Manager” with international experience, and in addition to running a successful business. Michele Jackman was a manager in key governmental positions, with a distinguished record of results and performance. She received the highest US Army Service Award, the “Civilian Service Medal” the top performance award in a series of awards for her innovative programs in Social Policy (EEO, Federal Women's Programs, and Leadership) from the US Army, Europe in l977.

    While serving as a civilian staff consultant for the Department of Defense in the Leadership Division, she assisted in the development of several leadership and social policies. During her tenure at the Pentagon in she worked on management issues and served on various Federal Interagency committees and Federal Health and Personnel Policy committees. She currrently teaches management and quality improvement courses for various military organizations.  One of her projects was as the technical advisor on the Department of Defense Senior Executive Environmental Leadership Course, launched in l994.
